Generate Momentum

You may remember my first video about celebrating wins. I talked about how to celebrate your wins in order to generate momentum. Recently, my girlfriend, Val, and I celebrated a win and then used that momentum to create a domino effect of more wins!

Making Bold Choices

Val had decided to make a bold decision to change the trajectory of her career. It takes a lot of courage to change things up. Too often, we become settled in our lives. We get comfortable. We get complacent.

We start accepting mediocrity rather than striving to achieve our dreams. We start asking, "how can I became more comfortable?" Instead of asking, "how can I become great? how can I meet my goals? How can I achieve my dreams?"

The answer is simpler and harder than anything you thought possible.

Celebrate Every Win

That's it. You celebrate every win.

By celebrating each win, no matter what, you'll start creating a positive feedback loop.

It's not voodoo. It's science.

When we celebrate our wins, our brains release a flood of chemicals that make us feel good. Those chemicals serve an important purpose. They become your dream fuel.

Fuel Up

After Val made her huge decision, I went to the store. I wanted to grab a small treat to help celebrate this huge win. You see, Val loves brie cheese.

When i got to the store, I had no idea how many different kinds of brie cheese there were. I was seized with a sudden case of decision paralysis

That is, until a wonderful woman named Helen helped me out.

Following Where the Road Goes

I never pass up on an opportunity to learn things, whether it's about people's stories or about cheese.

Terry had excused herself to grab some cheese. After asking her advice and talking with her for a little bit, she shared a recipe with me.

Terry's Lavash

  • Lavash Bread
  • Havarti Cheese
  • Thin sliced ham
  • Cherub tomatoes

Spread the cheese on the Lavash bread. Cover all of the cheese with the thinly sliced ham. Top with cherub tomatoes.  Bake at 350 degrees for about 10 minutes or until it's done.

Watch my above video for what this looks like. The video doesn't do justice to how good it smelled and tasted!

One Thing Leads to Another

Did you see how celebrating one win leads to another win?

That's exactly how it works. It starts small and it grows tall! That's why you'll see me celebrating every win, just like I explained in my video about generating momentum.

My current win streak started with making my bed
