The other day, a wasp got trapped in the house. It couldn't get back outside. Not for lack of trying, but because it kept trying to fly through the window.
It kept hitting the glass over and over and over again. It saw the goal, but couldn't figure out how to overcome the barrier.
How are we different than a wasp?
Perspective. As humans, we have the ability to see around the barriers in our life.
There are a lot of different ways that we can gain perspective when we hit a barrier.
The easiest way happens when it's a physical barrier. We can just back up! Look at the obstacle. Reassess and find a way around.
But what happens when the barrier is a mental block? That's when an outside perspective becomes invaluable.
Our brain does funny things. It can get caught in loops and cycles. If left alone for too long, it can become a habit.
That's why everyone needs an outside perspective. Especially high performers.
Instead of creating an internal cycle of negativity, we have created a community of positivity and perspective. Studies are showing that, in addition to one-on-one coaching, belonging to a community of like-minded individuals can greatly accelerate your progress.
I've been seeing it in my own practice. That's why I created a community called Go Win Monthly. We're made up of high performers from across the globe. We've got a great group of people so far and we'd love for you to join us!
